The Armored Assault Tanks (AAT) were a widely used vehicle of the droid army. They always formed one of the first waves of attack. During the first conflicts with the Federation they had the same color as the droids but at the beginning of the clone wars they were repainted in blue-gray in order to better fit the CIS. Although they were powerful, agile and heavily armored, these tanks were popular targets of some Jedi, even the Gungans are said to have successfully tangled with these war machines before.
