Experience a legend of railroad history: The detailed replica of the UP 4014, a.k.a. “Big Boy”, with a stud width of 6. 25 copies of the locomotive, that was known as one of the biggest and most powerful in the world, were built in between 1941 and 1944. With a weight of almost 550 tons it put 6290 hp on the track and it reached a top spead of 70mph which made it one of the fastest steam locomotives.
This model was designed by Bernhard Nobis (www.brickrails.de) the instructions and the modifications were made by BrickBob in accordance with Bernhard Nobis. The locomotive is fully suitable for curves (flexible axle suspension) and can be equipped with four engines (2x Power Functions M engine, 2x train engine). For display purposes the instructions also show a version without engines, but subsequent installation is not a problem. With all the engines the locomotive could pull wagons with a total of 200 axes, just like the original ;-). Here you can find Bernhard Nobis’ video if you want to see the Big Boy in action: Big Boy 200 Achsen (only German). Please follow the recommendations on the second page of the instructions.
The shown product is only referring to the instructions, as well as the part lists and depending of the choosen variant the matching stickers.
