The EF-76 Nebulon B-series hospital ships were built by Kuat Drive Yards and were initially designed for the Imperial fleet. The frigates are equiped with a hyperdrive, they have medium armament for self-defense in case of need and they have room for up to 700 patients that can be cared for by 850 crew members. For a while, one Nebulon-B frigate used to serve a mobile rebel headquarters, too. Cared for by his sister Leia, Luke Skywalker received his mechanic arm on the Nebulon B “Redemption”, after his encounter with Darth Vader. The “Redemption” forms an important part of the rebel fleet as primary hospital ship. The ship also served in the fight against the second Death Star.

“mortesv” originally designed the model. The original model was examined brick by brick and changed profoundly, especially with regard to the inner structure. The instructions were also redesigned from scratch. The display stand contains an homage to the scene from the movie where Luke, Leia, C3-PO and R2-D2 look after the Millennium Falcon flying away.
